Vulcan Elements Raises $65 Million to Lessen China’s Control over Rare Earth Magnets

Vulcan Elements, a startup based in the Research Triangle Park, plans to challenge China’s control of the production of rare earth magnets. Today, approximately 90% of these magnets are produced in China and are utilized in modern technologies that are crucial to both economic and national security. Read more.
